Kids CutsDowntown Barber is on Main Street in the heart of Farmingdale's small downtown. Our storefront has been a barber shop for almost seventy years, and we are proud to keep that tradition going for the families and the community in Farmingdale.
Since 2018, we have given the shop a full renovation with a modern vintage look, while keeping everything a classic barber shop should have, from a good chair and a hot towel to a barber who remembers your cut. We are a family barber shop. Fathers and sons see the same barber, and mothers bring their children in for a haircut. We've known our clients and their children for a long time. The first haircut, the one before kindergarten, the one before the first day of high school, and eventually the cut before they leave for college. Their parents sat here through all of it.

Downtown Barber in Farmingdale is an excellent barbershop delivering quality haircuts. They have three barbers, all of whom are incredibly skilled (I've personally had my hair cut by all three). Their prices are reasonable and their website makes it easy to book an appointment.
I grew up in Farmingdale, I'm 56 now and I was about 7 then. An these ladies that took over, It's the best atmosphere Out of all them years. I have to go back in a week, because they're the best. Thank you downtown barbers.

I can never say enough about Downtown Barber. Everyone there is also polite. Conversations go all around in a good way. Elvin is always good with cutting my son's hair exactly the way it needs to be. Today my son actually took charge and spoke with Elvin himself to explain to him what he was looking for. Another great visit. The funny thing is. I used to come here many years ago when I and my brothers were young children. Lol.⭐⭐⭐🌟⭐

Main Street has been the center of this town since before there was a town. A few doors down from us, the Wainright House at 48 Main Street is the oldest house in Farmingdale, built around 1750 by Robert Lippincott, a Shrewsbury Quaker, back when this was still part of Shrewsbury. It is a museum now. The land itself was sold off as part of a tract called Marsh's Bog in 1685. Farmingdale became its own borough in 1903, carved out of Howell Township, and it is still half a square mile.
