Downtown Barber provides classic barbering services and modern haircuts for every routine. We handle everything from balanced scissor cuts and clean fades down to the skin, to neat haircuts for kids, sharp beard trims, and traditional hot towel straight razor shaves. Every service is delivered with attention to detail, cleanliness, and a focus on giving you a cut that holds its shape.
We renovated the shop in 2018 and gave it a modern vintage look. What we kept is what a barber shop should have. A good chair, a hot towel, and a barber who remembers your cut.

Men's & Boys Haircut
Scissor haircut, regular cut or crew cut.
Fade
Regular fade, flat top, or military high and tight.
Skin Fade
Bald and low skin fade or skin taper haircut, for men, boys and children.
Children Haircut
Scissor haircut, regular cut, crew cut or fade.
Senior Citizen (Men 65+)
Scissor haircut, flat top, crew cut, or military high and tight.
Deluxe Beard Trim
Beard trim followed by a straight razor finish with hot lather and steamed towels.
Men's Haircut and Deluxe Beard Trim
A men's haircut plus the deluxe beard trim, finished with a straight razor, hot lather and steamed towels.
Straight Razor Shave
A great close shave with hot lather and a steamed towel, plus neck shave and edging of the sideburns.

Freehold has been a town for longer than America has been a country. Settlers built a village there in the 1680s along the Burlington Path, an Indian trail that ran where Route 537 runs now. The Declaration of Independence was read aloud in front of the courthouse, and in the summer of 1778 the fields outside town held the longest continuous battle of the Revolution.
Our storefront in Farmingdale has been a barber shop for almost seventy years. Same street, same trade, same room.
